Gameloft and Level Infinite officially launched Gangstar Mirage City for Android and iOS devices on August 20, 2026, rolling out regional access across Southeast Asia, South Asia, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and Latin America following a massive pre-registration campaign that surpassed 30 million players, according to reporting by Kontan and Medcom.
Engineering a Futuristic Open-World Metropolitan Sandbox
The latest installment in the Gangstar franchise, which Medcom reports has been present for more than 20 years, features a futuristic metropolis. According to Level Infinite’s published documentation, the title offers an open-world where players can move freely. Players can traverse the city, completing various activities, using vehicles, and building influence in the criminal world.
Players can also utilize the built-in Director’s Mode to create their own scenes and stories inside the game world.
Faction Warfare and Advanced Combat Mechanics
Combat loops integrate shooting with driving mechanics. Players have access to specialized hardware tools during missions:

- Digital Disruptor: Allows players to hack specific vehicles.
- Sentry System: Helps increase vehicle capabilities when facing dangerous situations.
- Reinforced plating configurations like Siege Plating to help increase vehicle capabilities when facing dangerous situations.
Multiplayer Infrastructure and Localization Support
Beyond the primary narrative campaign, the title implements cooperative and competitive multiplayer. Co-op Heists allow players to collaborate for robberies, while alternative modes feature Aksi Taksi, Treasure Rush, Big Head Mode, and Fight of the Bites.
To eliminate friction for regional adopters, Gameloft built native multi-language localization into the client. Kontan confirms that Bahasa Indonesia is supported across user interfaces, subtitles, mission instructions, and item information. Creators and competitive players can also plug into the ecosystem via the All Gangstar Show live-streaming initiative, which is part of a month-long global activity that allows players to compete to become the best boss in Mirage City.
