This Tuesday night the explosion of a gasoline pipeline was recorded in Anzoátegui state, specifically in the Naricual bridge in the Simón Bolívar municipality.
This was confirmed by the governor of the entity, Luis José Marcano on his social networks. By indicating that people who were trying to drill the pipeline were the culprits of the great deflagration that can be seen from different points of the entity.
Residents of Barcelona, Puerto La Cruz and Lechería reported the explosion and the great flames are seen.
Marcano said that security agencies are in the area to attend to those affected and control the fire.

According to Delmiro de Barrio, officials are evicting the surrounding communities to avoid more victims in the event of other explosions.

De Barrio indicated that people who live in the vicinity reported that subjects were trying to drill the pipe when the event occurred.
Around ten o’clock at night the flames had already decreased in intensity and the security forces controlled the situation.
