The cost of a liter of gasoline has fallen slightly in recent days, but now seems to be on the rise once more.

While some service stations on the South Shore, the North Shore and the Island of Montreal are still posting prices approaching $2.15.9, several have already made the leap to nearly $2.22 per litre.

This new record amount comes as the summer holidays are regarding to begin.

This increase in the price of gasoline affects not only the vacation plans of many Quebecers, but also the transportation industry.

The surge in prices might have an impact on the price of several products and foods in stores since their transport will cost more.
