Gator Defense Dominates in NFL Week 10: Highlights and Player Updates

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – This week, Defense was the word of the week for Gators in the NFL. In the trenches and in the open field, Gators made game changing plays. Here are a few of the best from week 10.

Defensive Highlights

If you were a fan of the Gators in 2014 and 2015, then you’re a fan of this week in the NFL. Dante Fowler Jr. (the 3rd overall pick in 2015) collected his second sack of the year. Fowler’s old gator teammate Johnathan Bullard collected one of his own as well. Not to mention, Alex Anzalone of the Lions also had a spectacular day, leading Detroit in tackles.

However, a safety from that same team, Keanu Neal, stole the show (and the football) in Pittsburgh this weekend, with a lead-saving pick in the end zone, followed by a 32 yard return to the 25 yard line.

Special Teams Highlights

Evan McPherson was money this Sunday, drilling every kick he made, including a clutch field goal to tie the game in Cincinnati with less than two minutes remaining.
