Gaza City: In 24 hours, many Palestinians were killed in 100 locations by Israel. With this, the total number of deaths in Gaza has reached 4137. 1661 people are children. 13,260 people were injured.

Aljazeera reported that the death toll has risen to 18 after the bombing of an ancient Christian church in Gaza City, where Christians sought refuge. A mosque built in the 7th century was also destroyed.

The Greek Orthodox Saint Porphyrios Church, founded in 1150, and the historic Al Umari Mosque were attacked and demolished on Thursday night. About 500 Christians and Muslims were in the Christian church seeking refuge from the attack in the nearby area. The Jerusalem Orthodox Patriarch, who expressed shock at the attack, condemned Israel’s actions.

The death toll in the attack on the refugee camp in Noor Shams has reached 13. Seven of them are children. Israeli forces evacuated around 20,000 people from the border village after Hezbollah intensified its attacks from Lebanon.

Despite repeated warnings by the World Health Organization that hundreds of thousands of people are on the brink of disaster, including in refugee camps without food, medicine, or water, Israel continues its bombing brutality without allowing aid to open. Israel has not yet allowed the opening of the Rafah border with Egypt to allow aid from various countries and the UN.

Power shortage: Seven hospitals shut down

The Ministry of Health announced that seven major hospitals and 21 health centers in Gaza have been shut down due to the power shortage. At the same time, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, who visited the Rafah border, said that intervention is being carried out to ensure that aid reaches all parts of Gaza.

An immediate ceasefire should be announced

Demonstrations were held in Muslim countries after Jumuah prayers on Friday to protest the Gaza attack. The GCC and ASEAN countries called for an immediate ceasefire and aid. A peace summit attended by world leaders including Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will be held in Cairo on Saturday to assess the situation. The heads of state of Bahrain, Cyprus, Egypt, Germany, Italy, Japan, Kuwait and South Africa and European Council President Charles Michael will attend.

The UN Human Rights Office has called for an independent international investigation into the attack on Al Ahli Arab Hospital. Swedish activist Greta Thunberg wrote in ‘X’ that there should be an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
