Gaza: The Palestinian news agency Wafa has condemned the killing of Palestinian TV journalist Muhammad Abu Hatab and his family in an Israeli attack. Wafa alleged that the killing of Abu Hatab and his family was deliberate. Palestine TV is the television channel of the Palestinian Authority.
The airstrikes took place shortly after he arrived at Abu Hattab’s apartment in Khan Yunis. Abu Hatab and his family members were killed in the attack. Palestinian TV pointed out that the Israeli attack was to prevent the Palestinian people from reporting the sufferings and exposing the crimes of the occupation.
This is a bloody message to terrorize Palestinian journalists. Palestinian TV stated that no matter how brutal the occupation regime is against journalists, they will not back down from their duty.
11 people including Abu Hatab were killed in the Israeli attack. The Palestinian Journalists Union said 27 Palestinian journalists and media workers have been killed since Israel began its offensive on October 7.
Meanwhile, the death toll in the Israeli crackdown in Gaza has risen to 9,061. Of those killed, 3,760 were children and 2,326 were women. 32,000 people were injured including 6360 children and 4891 women. 256 people were killed on Thursday alone.
After the Israeli attack, 2030 people including 1020 children went missing in Gaza. 4000 people are in Israeli detention. A child is killed every 10 minutes since the start of the Israeli offensive 132 people have been killed in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. 2000 people were injured. 1900 people are detained by Israel. Two prisoners were killed in Israeli custody.
2600 people including 1150 children are missing. Those trapped under buildings destroyed by Israel may also be among the missing. Currently 135 health workers have been killed. 25 ambulances were also vandalized. Additionally, 16 hospitals and 32 medical care facilities in Gaza are out of order.
