Due to the violent escalation in the Gaza Strip on Saturday October 7, Royal Air Maroc canceled its scheduled evening flight between Casablanca and Tel Aviv. This measure follows tensions between Hamas and the Israeli army in this region. Flight AT228, operated by a Boeing 737 with a capacity of 160 seats, was scheduled to leave Casablanca airport at 11:20 p.m. towards Ben-Gurion airport in Tel Aviv.
It should be noted that another flight from the Israeli airline El Al, also scheduled for the evening from Marrakech to Tel Aviv, had to be maintained.
Morocco expressed concern over the worsening situation in the Gaza Strip and condemned attacks against civilians wherever they occur.
