GeForce NOW August 2026 Update: 26 New Games and QuakeCon Demos

NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW cloud gaming service is adding 26 new games to its library for August 2026, headlined by the free-to-play naval combat title World of Warships: Legends. Alongside the software drops, NVIDIA is showcasing GeForce RTX 5080-powered Ultimate cloud gaming at QuakeCon in Grapevine, Texas, demonstrating 5K resolution at 120 frames per second.

Hardware Benchmarks and QuakeCon Demos

At the QuakeCon gaming conference in Grapevine, Texas, NVIDIA is running live demonstrations of its Ultimate cloud gaming tier powered by the GeForce RTX 5080 architecture. Attendees at the NVIDIA booth are testing streaming capabilities pushing up to 5K visuals at 120 frames per second on ultrawide displays. The hardware setup also highlights cross-device streaming continuity, routing demanding Bethesda game assets to portable form factors like the Lenovo Legion Go S handheld device without local hardware bottlenecks.

Gamers not attending the convention in Texas can test the Ultimate tier infrastructure using day passes. These temporary access keys let users stream demanding titles directly to laptops, Macs, mobile phones, and living room TVs.

Naval Combat and the First August Drops

The primary anchor for this week’s software deployment is World of Warships: Legends, which brings multiplayer naval combat to the cloud platform. Captains can command destroyers, cruisers, and battleships across massive multiplayer matches, utilizing the Pacific Hammer Campaign update and a fresh line of U.S. destroyers.
