Mononucleosis is a fairly severe infection. Unspecific but severe symptoms such as severe pain, swelling of the lymph nodes, intense exhaustion or nausea indicate this. Once recognized, comprehensive protection is necessary for recovery – and even months later, those who have recovered are often still severely restricted in their daily lives due to states of exhaustion.
