In 1995, Mr. Trung founded Binh An Collective Enterprise, the predecessor of the business that Mr. Son is running now.
Talking to VietNamNet, Mr. Trung shared: “Son is a boy who has been rigorously trained by his family since childhood. Therefore, academic achievement at all levels is very good. I passed the valedictorian exam at the Maritime University, majoring in shipbuilding. After graduating, Son returned to run the business on behalf of his father and continued his master’s degree.
Before going to the army, I had just completed a master’s program in finance. I’m still working on my thesis, waiting for the defense schedule.
I also encouraged him to join the unit, taking advantage of the weekend’s rest time to complete his thesis and defend his master’s degree.
Mr. Trung’s family did not seek to delay his son’s military service to ensure his career and study path. He said: “The value of a person is not reflected in the degree or position but must be assessed from the contribution to the economy and society.
Before my son wants to contribute something to society, he must first fulfill his duty to the country.”
Mr. Trung hopes that, through 2 years of military service, Son will be trained to be more resilient. When he returns, the young soldier will take better care of hundreds of people of the company, better contribute to society.
Before going to the army, Mr. Son authorized deputy general directors to temporarily run the company. To encourage his son to go to the field, Mr. Trung also promised to “re-export” to solve urgent business situations.
