Geneva: Series of interviews with Mr. Ouahbi on the sidelines of the 49th session of the HRC

Geneva – The Minister of Justice, Abdellatif Ouahbi, held a series of talks in Geneva, on the sidelines of his participation in the High Level Segment of the 49th session of the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) .

These talks, which took place in the presence of the permanent representative of Morocco in Geneva, Omar Zniber, were an opportunity to highlight the Moroccan model in the field of human rights, the of law and the consolidation of the democratic edifice, as well as the role of the Kingdom in the promotion of human rights at the Arab and African level.

Mr. Ouahbi thus met the Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals and in charge of Human Rights in Gabon, Erlyne Antonella Ndembet, with whom he discussed the means of further strengthening bilateral cooperation and the exchange of experiences. , in continuation of the excellent and historic relations uniting the two countries.

The minister also had talks with the director of the Geneva Center for Security Sector Governance (DCAF), Thomas Guerber, during which the two parties welcomed the quality of cooperation between the Kingdom and the Center in as part of DCAF’s Morocco Programme.

The Minister took this opportunity to highlight the progress made in Morocco on various issues relating to the field of human rights, underlining the important changes that the Kingdom is experiencing, particularly with regard to security governance, the penal system and legal and judicial procedures.

Mr. Ouahbi then met with the Director General of the International Development Law Organization (IDLO), Jan Beagle, focusing on the prospects and the means to be implemented to develop relations between the Justice in Morocco and the IDLO.
