Geneva: the airport files a complaint against those responsible for Tuesday’s chaos

Borrowing a door closed to the public can have serious consequences. The first, direct, was to set off an alarm which forced Cointrin airport on Tuesday to evacuate 4000 passengers who had already cleared the security checks. Which caused chaos and caused many flight delays.

The second concerns the five tourists who passed through this door, without stopping despite the alarm. Arrested by the police and having obviously crossed this passage by mistake, they were left free to take their flight. But the airport management decided to file a complaint against them anyway, writes the “Geneva Stand”.

The financial losses caused by this evacuation have not yet been quantified, but no flight has had to be canceled. The airport is also carrying out an investigation to find out whether the prohibition to cross this gate was sufficiently indicated.
