George Al-Rassi’s ex-wife seeks help at the American embassy to escape from “officially insane”

Beirut – “The Gulf”

The Lebanese model, and the ex-wife of the late artist George Al-Rassi, Joel Hatem, announced that she had resorted to the American embassy of her nationality, because she had received a death threat from the family of Al-Rassi, and some of his fans, for accusing her of causing his death.

Hatem wrote through the “story” feature on her account via the “WhatsApp” application: “Thank you to everyone, I am forced to stop responding to everyone, because I am threatening about stories about Al-Rassi’s house.

And she added in her post: “I contacted my American embassy, so they can see the evidence and take measures. I can never reply to anyone. No response. Thank you all. This is a farce and an officially insane country.”

The absence of Joel Hatem from the funeral of her ex-husband and the father of her son, George Al-Rassi, drew attention in the past two days, and was subjected to widespread criticism from the public, which prompted her to explain that her family prevented her, because she was collapsed in order not to increase the pain of her ex-wife’s family.

And she explained, in a video she posted on her WhatsApp account, that she was deeply saddened by the death of George Al-Rassi, which she described as an irreparable loss.

She continued, addressing the critics of her absence from the funeral: “My family was at the burial and my mother was already ill. Ask Sebastian Chew for George. Do you want details? Ring Labby and ask him why I did not go.”
