George Wassouf asked a sheikh to recite verses from the Holy Quran in condolence to his son Wadih

The pioneers of social networking sites circulated a video clip of Sheikh Yasser Al-Saleh reciting verses from the Holy Qur’an in the condolences of the son of the Syrian singer George Wassouf in his hometown of Kafroun in Syria.

According to what was circulated, the recitation of the verses came at a direct request from the Sultan of Tarab, George Wassouf.

In his statement, Sheikh Yasser Al-Saleh said, “It is not the first time that he has been asked to do so, as he was previously asked to recite Surat Maryam in the condolence of his mother previously.”

Al-Saleh pointed out that the artist, George Wassouf, “memorizes from the Book of God, and when I read Surat Maryam to him on one of the previous visits, he used to repeat it with me.”
