German customs will be able to confiscate any cars of Russians trying to cross the border of the republic. The reason for the arrest will be even entry in a personal car. About this, referring to the message of the customs of Germany, writes RBC on Wednesday, July 5th.
“The import of passenger cars from Russia to the EU is prohibited in accordance with Art. 3i of Regulation 833/2014 defining the embargo against Russia. In this context, the expression “importation” actually covers any movement of goods. The embargo does not provide for exceptions to the ban for the circumstances you specify, ”the document says.
According to the rules of the EU, each country of the union has the right to independently interpret and implement pan-European sanctions.
