PARIS – German Thomas Bach wants to step down as president of the International Olympic Committee in 2025 after his second term. Speaking at the International Olympic Committee General Assembly in Paris, the 70-year-old said he would not seek re-election. To do this, the term limits in the Olympic Charter must first be changed. “A new era calls for new leaders,” said Bach, who has been president of the International Olympic Committee since 2013.
