Rosneft called the transfer of its assets to Germany a violation of the market economy
Rosneft accused the German government of illegally transferring German assets to a network agency. This follows from a statement on the company’s website.
“Unfortunately, the decision of the German Federal Government to transfer the Company’s German assets to the Federal Grid Agency for external management is not unexpected for us and is in line with the algorithm of actions imposed by the United States in relation to Russian enterprises in Germany. This decision is illegal,” Rosneft said in a statement.
Representatives of the company added that they see this as a violation of all the fundamental principles of a market economy, the civilizational foundations of a modern society built on the principle of inviolability of private property. Rosneft pointed out that the decision of the Federal Republic of Germany is not temporary, “and, in fact, means the irretrievable loss of assets.” The company added that it will work on all possible measures to protect shareholders, including going to court.
Earlier, the German government warned that it would transfer the German subsidiaries of Rosneft Rosneft Deutschland and RN Refining & Marketing under the control of the Federal Network Agency. At the same time, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz explained that such a step would make the country less dependent on Russia and the decisions it makes, writes FAN.
