Get Money Steppas Arrests: Breaking News on Alleged Criminal Group in Hartford, CT

About 13 alleged members of a group believed to be associated with numerous violent crimes have been arrested and charged after a months-long investigation in Hartford, Connecticut.

Multiple agencies, including the Hartford Police Major Crimes Division, the Vice, Intelligence and Narcotics Division, the Capital City Command Center, the Hartford State’s Attorney’s Office and federal authorities began their investigation in May 2023.

Police said the investigation was related to numerous violent and narcotics-related incidents involving a group that identified itself as “Get Money Steppas.”

According to investigators, incidents involving the “Get Money Steppas” include multiple homicides, shootings, acts of retaliatory violence, drug trafficking, vehicle theft and arson.

Investigators said they worked to obtain information about the group’s members, their hierarchy, identification methods and ongoing criminal activities.

After an investigation that lasted 11 months, 13 arrest warrants were approved. Those warrants charge alleged members of the group with violating the Corrupt Organization and Racketeer Activity Act (CORA).

Authorities said that when the arrest warrants were approved, eight of the 13 alleged members of the group were and still are in state or federal custody. The other five alleged members of the group were found and taken into custody.

Police have identified the thirteen suspected members as:

  • A 16-year-old male: Arrest warrant
  • Jeremy White, 20 years old: $750,000 bond
  • Guilberto Méndez, 28: Bail of $750,000
  • Leonardo Laboy, 24 years old: Bail of $750,000
  • Paul Downer, 28: $750,000 bond
  • Juan Pérez, 28: $750,000 bail
  • Nathan Delgado, 21 years old: $200,000 bail
  • Xavier Gómez, 23: $200,000 bond
  • Linoshka Barbosa, 24 years old: Bail of $200,000
  • Pedro Fuentes, 30 years old: Bail of $500,000
  • Kennethzel Rivera, 20 years old: $500,000 bail
  • José Perdomo, 24 years old: Bail of $500,000
  • Isiah Barnett, 26: $200,000 bail

The thirteen people are being charged with corrupt organization and extortion activity.

Police are expected to provide an update on the arrests Wednesday afternoon.
