While this year’s Hellfest has just ended, tickets for next year have already gone like hot cakes. And this, even though no artist has yet been announced by the organization. Fans then had fun creating a totally crazy fictional poster for next year.
Hellfest: the meeting place for metalheads
Established in 2006, Hellfest is a music festival which is held every year Clisson, In France. It is one of the biggest music festivals devoted to heavy metal, hard rock and their subgenres. And it’s the biggest festival in France. Hellfest features an impressive lineup with renowned bands and artists from the metal and rock scene. Famous groups such as Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Slayer, Judas Priest, Marilyn Manson, Megadeth, Alice Cooper, Guns N’ Roses and many more have all played at Hellfest.
The festival lasts 3 days, and every year it’s a war to get places. The proof, since all the places for the 2024 edition went up in smoke on Tuesday, June 27th, day of availability of tickets. All seats were sold out within minutes, although no lineup has yet been announced.
The fake poster that drives everyone crazy
To have fun, Hellfest fans created a fake poster. The idea is to offer a totally crazy fictional program that could influence the organizers of the event. Via an aesthetic borrowed from the real Hellfest posters, we find groups like the Foo Fighters, Rage Against The Machine, Rammstein or AC DC. An enticing fictional poster that makes more than one salivate.
This year’s edition once again took place in calm and good humor. However, the festival was recently tainted with an 8-month suspended prison sentence and a fine of 20,000 euros, Ben Barbaud, the boss of Hellfestwho embezzled money from festival coffers for personal purchases.
