Mumbai: BCCI invites applications for jersey sponsorship of Indian cricket team. The BCCI was looking for new sponsors when the contract of Byjus, who were the jersey sponsors of the Indian team, had expired. But this time BCCI has invited jersey sponsors with strict conditions like never before.

Liquor companies, betting firms, crypto currency, games with money (not applicable to fantasy games), tobacco companies, entities against public interest, pornography, athletic and sportswear jersey manufacturers cannot apply for BCCI’s jersey sponsorship. BCCI had selected Adidas as India’s kit sponsors last month. This is why sports jersey manufacturers have been excluded from jersey sponsorship.

‘It was certain that India would be crushed against the Aussies in the final’; The Windies legend explained the reason

Jersey sponsorship tenders can be purchased by paying Rs 5 lakh. It is non-refundable. Last date for receipt of applications is 26th of this month. It is doubtful whether the BCCI will be able to find new jersey sponsors ahead of India’s tour of the West Indies next month. It is reported that after the West Indies tour, the Indian team will wear jerseys with the names of India’s new jersey sponsors.
