The Ministry said through its account on the X platform (formerly Twitter) that the vaccine is available to those aged 18 years and over, and priority is given to these groups:
– Those with chronic diseases: The vaccine provides protection from complications that affect those with chronic diseases.
– The elderly: Aging increases the likelihood of severe illness when infected with the virus.
Pregnant women: Complications from the mother’s infection with the virus extend to fetuses and newborns, and the developed Covid-19 vaccine provides the necessary protection for the mother and fetus.
– Health sector workers: The developed Covid-19 vaccine protects against infection complications and reduces the possibility of transmitting the infection from health practitioners to patients.
She indicated that the vaccine can be obtained by booking an appointment at the (respiratory vaccinations) clinic through the “My Health” application.
