New York: NASA suspects that an asteroid approaching Earth once every 600,000 years might cause an accident. The asteroid, named 7482 (1994 PC1), will approach Earth on January 18. It will orbit the Earth in the coming weeks in an elliptical orbit around the Solar System.

Asteroids are rock formations that formed when the Solar System formed regarding 4.6 billion years ago. Days ago, three asteroids passed close to Earth without incident. However, this time the size of the asteroid is larger. That is why scientists suspect danger. They estimate that such asteroids will pass close to Earth once every six million years.
