Girona shared second place in the Spanish Football League with Barcelona, with a dramatic victory over its host Granada 4-2 on Monday in the fifth stage.
Girona won in the first half, which saw the three goals scored by Viktor Tsygankov in the 22nd minute, Savio de Oliveira in the 31st minute, and David Lopez Silva in the 34th minute.
Mirto Uzuni responded with a goal for Granada in the 63rd minute, then Lucas Pouille added the second goal for the hosts five minutes before the end, then Yann Couto scored the fourth goal for Girona one minute before the end.
The victory raised Girona’s tally to 13 points, sharing second place with Barcelona, two points behind leaders Real Madrid.
