In the automaker Stellantis reported that the production of cars Opel, Citroen And Peugeot may be suspended only due to circumstances related to the lack of auto parts. This information was shared by Carlos Tavares, the head of the corporation, writes CNN.

According to the top manager, at the moment the plant in the Kaluga region is operating as usual, but production may be suspended at any time due to a shortage of necessary parts and components.

The continuation of production and the preservation of the previous work schedule are facilitated by the special location of supplier companies: their main part is located in the territories of Southern Europe and North Africa. However, if supplies are disrupted, Russian production will be left without components.

The key production asset of the concern is the Kaluga enterprise PSMA Rus, 70% of which is owned by Stellantis.
