Thiruvananthapuram: Swami Satchidananda, President of Sree Narayana Dharma Sangham Trust, has been awarded the Gurujyoti Award instituted by GK Pillai Foundation in the memory of actor GK Pillai. The award consists of a sculpture and a citation. Union Minister V. Muraleedharan will inaugurate the function which will be held at Varkala Meva Convention Center on 30th at 6 pm. From the film industry, 19th Century (Best Film), Suraj Venjaramood (Best Actor), Gayathri Shankar (Actress), Anoop Menon (Director), Nasheed, Vipindas (Screenplay) and Murugan Kattakkada (Lyrics) were awarded. Eminent personalities in the field of serials and those who have rendered meritorious services in the fields of culture and philanthropy will be felicitated.
