The social network Twitter registered a global drop this Saturday with many users reporting service interruptions, which was confirmed by specialized site Downdetector, which caught those issues in real time. “Twitter died”, this followingnoon was the first trend in Argentina of the network that owns tycoon Elon Musk.

“Sorry, you have reached the query frequency limit. Wait a few minutes and try once more,” says one of the messages that appears when you cannot continue browsing the social network, although in some cases it happens intermittently.

After several user complaints, Musk posted that tweets will be limited to read during the day. “To address the extreme levels of data extraction and system manipulation, we have applied the following time limits: verified accounts are limited to reading 6,000 posts per day; unverified accounts at 600 posts per day and new unverified accounts at 300 per day.”

An hour later he added that the service was found to be limited “due to reading all the posts regarding read limits.”
