Electronic payment systems dependent on the French group Worldline encountered disruptions early Saturday followingnoon. “Around 12:30 p.m. and until 1:20 p.m., Worldline encountered some transaction disruptions on one of its payment platforms“, the group told Belga.
This was a global problem, in all countries where Worldline operates. It has since been resolved but some customers may still experience disruption early Saturday evening. The Worldline spokesperson might not specify the extent of the disruption in Belgium. However, it would concern “a small number of customers“. On social networks, people are reporting payment problems in Carrefour and Ikea stores in Belgium.
