Traditional peacekeeping strategies often struggle to address these multifaceted threats effectively. Thus, UN peacekeeping missions need to evolve significantly.
One pressing issue is equipping peacekeepers with the necessary tools. Many modern militaries, even those engaged in conflict, utilize unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or drones. Why is this technology crucial for peacekeeping, and what are the hurdles to implementation?
Indeed, UAVs are becoming ubiquitous in contemporary conflict. Peacekeeping forces need comparable capabilities for self-defense, situational awareness, and monitoring conflict zones.
