China News Agency, Beijing, June 14th. On June 14th, the High-level Forum on Global Human Rights Governance was held in Beijing. Li Shulei, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and head of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended the opening ceremony, read a congratulatory letter from President Xi Jinping and delivered a keynote speech.

Chinese and foreign guests believed that President Xi Jinping’s congratulatory letter put forward China’s propositions for the development of international human rights and global human rights governance, and clarified China’s vivid practice of implementing the spirit of the “Vienna Declaration and Program of Action” and respecting and protecting human rights. Cooperation plays an important role in guiding and promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. To deal with the problems and challenges of global human rights governance, the international community needs to work together to uphold the common values ​​of peace, development, fairness, justice, democracy, and freedom, promote peace and stability, and maintain a safe environment for human rights protection; The material foundation of human rights protection; advocate equal treatment, enrich and develop the diversity of human rights civilization; uphold fairness and justice, promote the democratization of the human rights governance system; strengthen solidarity and cooperation, seek the greatest consensus on human rights governance, strive to improve the well-being of people in all countries, and create a better future for the world .

The forum is co-hosted by the State Council Information Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the China International Development Cooperation Agency. More than 300 Chinese and foreign guests from nearly 100 countries and international organizations including the United Nations agencies actively communicated and had candid dialogues around the theme, contributing insights to promote the development of the global human rights cause.
