Animal babies, like human babies, are playful and love to romp around. A handicapped little goat in the US was lucky enough to have its owners come up with a life-changing idea.

There are many animal-loving people who take care of handicapped, old or sick animals. Some have organized and run animal sanctuaries and other organizations dedicated to animal welfare. This includes Little Buckets Farm Sanctuary, a non-profit organization in the US state of Virginia. The owners and staff aim to educate about farm animals and show “that there is no difference and that we should love all animals by living compassionately”.

One resident of Little Buckets Farm is Pisa – an Angora goat born in March 2022. But Pisa was not born healthy – neurological problems make it impossible for her to stand on her own two feet. But thanks to their owners, this should not remain a permanent condition.

The little Angora goat keeps trying to walk on its own. But his legs keep giving out. But the owners of Pisa had a wonderful idea: a custom-made walking aid that she could use to move around without outside help. “She is bold, sweet, strong and inspires us every day. She works hard with her little legs to zip around the yard,” writes Little Buckets Farm Sanctuary founder Susan Klingenberg on her website. You can see how happy the little goat was when she was able to really accelerate thanks to the walker in the video on the Landtiere.de portal.
