Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE)’s ‘God of War Ragnarok’, which was introduced in November last year, continues to be an explosive success.
Developer Santa Monica Studio announced on the 2nd that the cumulative global sales of ‘God of War Ragnarok’ exceeded 11 million copies. The development team said, “All of this would have been impossible without your support,” and “Thank you to everyone who has been with us on our journey.”
‘God of War Ragnarok’ is the latest work in Santa Monica Studio’s representative action adventure ‘God of War’ series, and is the second work that contains the journey of the main character Kratos and his son Atreus.
The new work has been highly anticipated as a masterpiece that will represent the Sony PS exclusive camp even before its release, and has collected many praises for its narrative and game quality that meet the expectations of users immediately after its release. In particular, the cumulative sales volume exceeded 5.1 million copies in the first week of the game’s official release, the fastest in the series history, as well as the fastest box office record in the history of Sony PS first party games.
Meanwhile, ‘God of War Ragnarok’ was officially released on PS4 and PS5 on November 19 last year, and a new game + function update is expected in the spring of 2023.
