Iraqi singer Amal Khudair recorded a new song entitled: “Rayeh,” written by the poet Faleh Hassoun Al-Daraji, and composed by the singer and composer Qasim Majid.
Khudair praised composer Qasim Majid and described his new tune for her as “distinctive and beautiful, which represents a new style for her in singing that keeps pace with modernity while preserving the authenticity of the Iraqi song to which I belong.”
She added, “This song has a new musical arrangement and has very wonderful musical touches that go with the melody and words.”
It is noteworthy that Khudair belongs to the generation of the seventies Iraqi song, which represents the most important pillar in the history of Iraqi singing. She has many songs that are classified as masterpieces, and she has also cooperated with most of the great Iraqi composers.
