The price of a gram of 18 karat gold today in Syria has also fallen to about 104.940 thousand pounds ($41.77).

As for economic gold prices today in Syria, the price of a gram of 14 karat gold recorded about 81,619 thousand pounds ($ 32.48).

Globally, gold prices fell slightly during today’s trading session, despite the decline in the dollar index, amid expectations that raising US interest rates will continue for a longer period.

Investors are still focused on Friday’s US jobs report, which is set to show the state of the labor market in light of the Fed’s ongoing rate hike.

And gold futures contracts for December delivery fell slightly by 0.11% to $ 1747.7 an ounce, and the price for spot delivery fell slightly by 0.14% to $ 1734.69 an ounce.

Silver futures for December delivery fell 0.19% to $18.64 an ounce, while the spot price for platinum delivery settled at $866.82 an ounce, and the spot price for palladium settled at $2147.25 an ounce.

The dollar index – which measures the performance of the US currency against a basket of six major currencies – decreased by 0.33% to 108,479 points.
