At the Golden Hill Charity Event, money was raised for a good cause. A portrait of Arnold Schwarzenegger changed hands for 18,000 euros.

In the South Styrian top address Golden Hill Country Chalets & Suites, top chefs such as Didi Dorner, Didi Maier, Robert Letz, Marco Simonis and Jürgen Vigne have not only conquered the hearts of culinary fine-diners. The day was all about the brilliance of a good cause: “This event leaves a lasting impression on the palate. On the hips and especially in the hearts,” says Renate Zierler, from ‘Köchekochen für Kinder’. “I am very happy that we were able to welcome such great people here today in such a charming place, and all for the benefit of SOS Children’s Villages.”

Donation box rang

The crowd of guests could not only enjoy a feast for the palate, but also an extensive program such as the auctions in favor of SOS Children’s Villages with works of art, experiences and products. “We are delighted that so many people were here today to work together for a good cause. It was really important to us to be able to give as many children as possible a few golden moments in their childhood. And we are huge grateful and happy that a proud donation of 38,300 euros was collected today,” said the Golden Hill hosts Barbara and Andreas Reinisch.

“With such great support, where there is so much power and heart behind it, like this unique event, we can create a little more security and perspective and also realize our vision ‘Every child a loving home'”. It’s a great feeling to know that so many courageous people support SOS Children’s Villages,” said Mario Edler from SOS Children’s Villages.

The auction was moderated with a lot of humor by Michael Ostrowski, who created a great atmosphere. Among the auction items was the legendary Schwarzenegger portrait by Christoph Palaschke, who was present himself. With a proud sum of 18,000 euros, it found a determined buyer.

Numerous prominent artists and guests created a relaxed atmosphere, including state councilor Barbara Eibinger-Miedl, singer Sandra Pires, musician Desmond Doyle, the Styrian folk musiciansknopferlstreich and the tenor 7Ray. Magician Christoph Kulmer amazed the 120 or so guests with modern magic. The event was moderated by Alexandra Meissnitzer.
