Golden State sacrifices another game in New Orleans

All but one – and again Kevon Looney only played five minutes, just not to end his streak of games played consecutively (325 now), the second longest running in the NBA. No Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins, and no suspense. The Pelicans were almost complete (only missing Trey Murphy III, hit on one foot) and they already had a 19-point lead at the end of the first quarter (35-16).

Warriors coach Steve Kerr apologized to the New Orleans crowd. It is indeed the second time this season that this scenario is reproduced and that the spectators of Louisiana cannot see playing Stephen Curry (among others). On November 5, Golden State had already appeared on the floor of the Pelicans without its holders (again with a defeat, 114-105) the day after a match in Orlando. “I feel bad for the public here but we couldn’t take any risks. Most of our players are over ten years in the league”, justified himself Kerr.
