We all have something in us by JJ Goldman

“Due to his absence, and because he has never been so present, Goldman has become a myth.” “When the music is good”, “I give you”, “À nos acts missed”: so many unforgettable titles which, since the 1980s, have punctuated the evenings and journeys of the French. And this, almost twenty years following their author and performer, Jean-Jacques Goldman, decided to put an end to his musical career. While the Parisian artist still dominates the ranking of the French’s favorite personalities, how can we explain such a level of notoriety? The historian and writer Ivan Jablonka wanted to unravel the mystery of this longevity, in “Goldman”, published by Éditions du Seuil. He comes to talk to us regarding it on the set of 28 Minutes.

Commercial zones: how to make “ugly France” more beautiful?

France has 1,500 on its territory, the equivalent of 500 million square meters: since the 1980s, commercial zones have been part of the French landscape, embodying both a mass consumer society and a a certain architectural ugliness characteristic of the peri-urban world. In 2010, Télérama magazine spoke of “ugly France” to describe this economic model which now represents 72% of French spending in stores compared to 15% in the city center. If these “shoebox” alignments continue to enliven the lives of some, not all display the same dynamism. Competition from online sales is seeing certain areas decline in particular. Monday September 11, the Minister for Commerce and SMEs, Olivia Grégoire, and the Minister for Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion, Christophe Béchu, presented a project to considerably transform these areas and revitalize them. How to do it ? We debate it.
