INTERNATIONAL Golo Mori Jazz 2024 will be held on November 16 at the Golo Mori Convention Center (GMCC) West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara. Indonesian and international music legends across generations who will perform include Andien, Maliq & D’Essentials, Sheila Majid, and Tohpati. Tohpati will appear in Orchestra format to guide the singing of Sheila Majid and Andien in a special international collaboration.
“The performers have confirmed their presence. Technical preparations and surveys have been carried out more than three times in the area of The Golo Mori, Labuan Bajo and surrounding areas. “The best sound system made by the nation’s children will also complement the offerings at this year’s International Golo Mori Jazz,” added Bagas Indyatmono, Director of Jazz Gunung Indonesia in Jakarta, Tuesday (30/4).
Presenting music in the middle of mountainous areas is nothing new for Jazz Gunung Indonesia. Jazz Gunung Indonesia started holding Jazz Mount Bromo in 2009. As time went by, the selected mountain areas increased, starting from Mount Ijen, Mount Slamet, and Mount Burangrang. Reflecting on the implementation of Jazz Mount Bromo, the economic value turnover for 2 days which was attended by 2,750 people per day reached around IDR 24,237,500,000, assuming the average visitor spending was around IDR 8,000,000 per visit.
