Immortal Redneck is an FPS with rogue-lite elements set in Egypt. The game mixes old-school first-person shooters with rogue-lite mechanics. Frantic gameplay, responsive controls and arcade thrills mix with randomly generated dungeon crawling, an extensive skill tree, permadeath and 9 different classes with varying talents.
The game follows the adventures of a tourist who wakes up mummified in ancient Egypt after an accident. Why is he here? How did he survive the accident? Why was he mummified?
The answer lies in the three dangerous pyramids of Giza, each protected by an army of monsters and gigantic bosses. Of course, your mission is to break into those pyramids and kill anything that moves along the way until you find out what’s going on!
- Old school FPS: frenetic gameplay, responsive controls and arcade feel.
- Rogue-lite mechanics: randomly generated dungeons, classes, skills, and permadeath, but with gameplay progression.
- Nine playable classes, each with different talents. Players can change classes from game to game, choosing the most effective for their current purpose.
- Complete skill tree: level up your character, buy equipment and weapons, get new skills and improve them.
- More than 50 weapons: traditional, magical, mythological, futuristic or simply weird weapons, like the Potato Launcher! There is no shortage of choice.
- More than 100 modification scrolls: Each scroll collected in the game can alter your current game, either for good (turns enemies into chickens) or bad (reduces your movement speed) or a little of both!
- Over 35 enemies: mummies, sarcophagi, flying skulls, humanoid snakes and gigantic chubby warriors… And they’re all after you!
- Huge bosses: two in each pyramid, each with their own fighting style.
- Merchant: Buy gear and resources that will carry over from game to game, even when dead.
