‘Good movies take time’; Madhavan stabs Akshay Kumar; What should I do about it?

Akshay Kumar responded to Madhavan’s comment that good films cannot be made in a short time. There were speculations that Madhavan’s remark was indirectly aimed at Akshay Kumar.

‘Films like Pushpa-The Rise, R.R.R. were shot for over a year. Therefore, the audience will prefer these films over the films shot in three and four months,’ said Madhavan. Madhavan’s reaction was at the press meet of the film Rocketry The Numby Effect.

As Akshay Kumar is quick to finish his films, there are opinions that Madhavan’s comment was meant for him. Akshay Kumar gave his reply to Madhavan at the audio launch of his new film Raksha Bandhan.

‘What can I say? My work will be done quickly. The directors used to say that my work is done, go home. So what should I do, fight with them,’ asked Akshay.

It was reported that producer Aditya Chopra said that Akshay Kumar was responsible for the box office failure of Akshay’s recently released film Samrat Prithviraj. After this, the film’s director Chandraprakash Divedi came forward with a response.
