Gordon Ramsay on the Bizarre Theft at Lucky Cat

Archyde: Your Lucky Cat restaurant in Bishopsgate has been hit by a unusual theft. Can you tell us more about what happened?

Gordon ramsay: (Laughs) It’s certainly not your average robbery. We’ve had nearly 500 maneki-neko figurines stolen from the restaurant in just a week. I mean, who steals cats?

Archyde: That’s quite a important number. How much has this theft cost the restaurant?

Ramsay: It’s not just the quantity, it’s the symbolism. These cats are meant to bring good luck, and now they’re gone. As for the cost, it’s around £2,146.50.Not a fortune, but it’s the principle of the thing.

Maneki-Neko: More Than Just Figurines

Archyde: Maneki-neko figurines are deeply rooted in Japanese culture. How important are they to the Lucky Cat brand?

Ramsay: They’re not just decorations; they’re a symbol of our Asian-inspired cuisine and the luck we hope to bring to our customers. It’s a bit like having a guardian at the door, welcoming guests and bringing prosperity.

Ramsay’s Growing Restaurant Empire

Archyde: Despite this setback, your restaurant empire continues to grow. How does it feel to have such a global impact?

Ramsay: It does get a bit scary, to be honest. It’s a lot to manage, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. We’ve got some amazing teams around the world, and I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together.

Holly ramsay’s Wedding: A Chef’s Perspective

Archyde: Speaking of family, your daughter Holly is getting married to Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty. What’s it like planning a wedding as a chef?

ramsay: (Smiles) It’s chaotic, but it’s also marvelous. Holly and Adam are so in love, and it’s great to see. As for the planning, I’m leaving that mostly to Tana and Holly. I’ll just be there to support them and make sure the food’s up to scratch.

Archyde: We heard Adam sought your blessing. What was that like?

Ramsay: It was a beautiful moment. He’s such a great guy, and we couldn’t ask for anyone better for Holly. It was one of those moments where everything went quiet, and you just know everything’s going to be okay.

Archyde: what’s next for Gordon Ramsay? Any new projects or challenges on the horizon?

Ramsay: I’ve always got something cooking, both literally and metaphorically. (Laughs) But right now, I’m just focusing on making sure Lucky Cat Bishopsgate is back to its full, lucky self. After all, we can’t have a restaurant without its cats, can we?

Archyde: We’ll look forward to seeing the cats back in their rightful places. Thank you for your time, Chef Ramsay.
