Government and ELN announce reactivation of peace talks from Caracas

The Colombian government and the guerrilla of the National Liberation Army (ELN) announced this Tuesday from Caracas the resumption of peace talks which had been suspended since 2019.

“The most important thing for us is to restart, any adjustment at the table will be agreed upon with the government,” said Antonio García, commander of the ELN, confirming that the venues in which the points to reach an agreement will be discussed will rotate. The Colombian government clarified that the role of Cuba, Norway and Venezuela will be the observers of the word of the Colombian State and the ELN guerrilla.
