Government Bond Issuance Update: 5 and 8-Year Bonds to be Offered in December 2023

The Federal Debt Agency will ultimately not issue a one-year state bond in December, Finance Minister Vincent Van Peteghem announced on Friday. On the other hand, government bonds with a maturity of 5 and 8 years will be issued on December 11, 2023.

The coupon (gross interest rate) will be determined for the two government bonds on November 28. For this issue, as always for government bonds with a maturity of several years, a withholding tax of 30% will apply. Direct subscription with the Grands Livres service can be made from Thursday, November 30 to Thursday, December 7, 2023. Subscription with banks can be made one more day, until Friday, December 8, 2023. It will be possible to subscribe from of 100 euros.
