Government regrets announcement of strike by transporters and ratifies openness to dialogue to improve service

Asunción, IP Agency.- The Government regretted the strike announced by transport businessmen, in the midst of a work table established to continue improving public service. “The MOPC confirms that dialogue is the way forward for the benefit of citizens.”

The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC), through the Vice Ministry of Transportation, issued a statement in which it regretted that in the middle of a work table established, also one of the transportation unions, specifically Cetrapam, pressured to force a a situation that they described as “absolutely absurd” such as doubling the subsidy, which is the intention of this business group.

Measures such as the service stoppage announced by this union do not build a transportation system in accordance with the needs of citizens; On the contrary, they prevent progress with the actions promoted, says another part of the statement.

However, adds the Vice Ministry, from this space all the corresponding mechanisms will be carried out to continue improving the public service.

Likewise, the MOPC rejects the bus strike and guarantees passengers to continue working for the reform of the transportation system in order to provide citizens with an efficient and quality service. “We will continue working with commitment, seriousness and responsibility,” they stressed.
