Subsidies for the replacement of fossil fuel heating should not be paid before a year and a half. The corresponding ordinance is scheduled for January 1, 2025, Energy Minister Albert Rösti told German radio SRF.
By saying “yes” to the law on climate protection on June 18, the citizens also accepted financial aid amounting to 2 billion francs for the replacement of gas and oil heating systems.

Owners replacing such installations with wood-fired heaters or heat pumps will be able to benefit from total support of 200 million francs per year.
Questions to clarify
The corresponding ordinance is being drawn up, said Albert Rösti, stressing that this takes time. Various questions must indeed be clarified concerning the heaters that can be replaced and the percentage of support for the transformation, specified the federal councilor of the SVP.
