Government works to guarantee citizens safe and calm voting exercise

Citizens must feel calm and at peace to exercise their right to participate in election day and for this it is necessary to generate the necessary security conditions throughout the state, Governor Martín Orozco Sandoval pointed out at the meeting with electoral authorities and security corporations. where the strategies to be followed from now until the day of the elections were proposed.

The president highlighted the importance of coordination between all corporations, in addition to each of the actors involved fully complying with their institutional responsibility, so that society has full confidence in the development of the day.

It should be noted that in said meeting of the security table and electoral authorities it was announced that it will be necessary to safeguard 1,738 polling stations, in addition to protecting the integrity of the voters so that they go to the polls, in addition to keeping the state shielded at its gates. entrance and exit, as well as on the borders of the municipalities that border other entities.

For the closing of the electoral day, the district committees and the transfer of the electoral packages will be safeguarded, so that the scrutiny and calculation of the votes can be carried out.

In this sense, it was announced that the municipal police of Aguascalientes will be in charge of maintaining order in the state capital, while the State police will coordinate the operations in the interior municipalities, additionally the National Guard will be with constant patrols in throughout the state, as well as an operation on the roads and entrances of the entity.

During the meeting, the authorities of the State Government, the State Public Security Secretariat, the Aguascalientes State Electoral Institute, the National Electoral Institute, the Mexican Army, the National Guard, the Attorney General’s Office, the Attorney General’s Office were present. of the State, the Special Prosecutor for Electoral Crimes, among others.
