The governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, supported the presidential candidate of the Union for the Fatherland (UxP), Sergio Massa and stressed that “today we have a minister of Economy who is going to be president.” Alluding to Together for Change, without naming any candidate, he revived the campaign of fear: “The people of Buenos Aires have to know what awaits them if the right comes.” He said it at the campaign launch of the candidate for mayor of La Plata, Julio Alak, 36 days before the PASO elections on August 13.
Kicillof is another of the pro-government leaders who is aligned behind Massa’s campaign. In recent days, the Unión por la Patria candidate closed the ambassador in Brazil, Daniel Scioli, as an honorary adviser to the Ministry of Economy and the Minister of the Interior, Eduardo “Wado” de Pedro, as campaign manager. He received the blessing of Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and the president of the Buenos Aires Justicialista Party, Máximo Kirchner, called to support him to “defend the beans of the Argentines.” The only dissident within the UxP is the leader of the Frente Patria Grande, Juan Grabois.

Kicillof referred to the fact that “the right comes to threaten the people” and stated that “we see that they have many candidates and only one project: adjustment.
