A ASUS released a new version of the graphics card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti. The big difference in the variant that hits the market is the presence of an integrated M.2 SSD slot. The GPU had already been announced a few weeks ago and now it has started to be sold.

After the primary presentation of the model, it was not entirely clear whether it was a concept or a product aimed at the end consumer, but the exact commercial name of the GPU is ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4060 Ti SSD and it is available with 8 and 16 GB of VRAM.

The PCIe 4.0 slot for an M.2 SSD is positioned on the back of the board, with its own dedicated cover (also capable of dissipating heat) that is easily removable. The model may be interesting for motherboards that do not offer this storage option.

The idea may seem curious to say the least, but it makes sense for more than one reason, one of which is that the RTX 4060 Ti uses only 8 of the 16 PCIe lanes in a typical graphics card slot. A PCIe 4.0 SSD usually uses 4, so there would theoretically be room for another slot.

For now ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4060 Ti SSD has only been found in the version with 8 GB of VRAM, at a Finnish retailer called Multitronic and costs €558.90 (~R$2,965), €60 (~R$318) more than the version without SSD, but with overclocking and the same memory.

So far, there is no information about the availability of the new ASUS GPU in our market. Finally, given the TGP of the card, nothing special regarding power should be necessary and the 8-pin connector should be more than enough.
