An extraordinary connection to wildlife is in Grace Irwin’s blood — so it’s no surprise that she is so good with animals, too. Her “Bunny” (aka, grandma) Terri Irwin, who was married to the famous conservationist Steve Irwin before he tragically died in 2006, shared a new video of Grace’s sweet bond with the family dog. Warning: your heart might just explode with all the cuteness!

“The day Grace walked @stellairwinthepug all the way to Africa!” Terri captioned the adorable new video of her daughter Bindi Irwin’s daughter Grace. She even tagged their pug Stella Irwin (yes, this dog has its own account and it’s cute!). The clip is set to “Africa” by Toto and features Grace taking her little buddy on a walk.

Fashionable as always, Grace is dressed in a peach bucket hat with cream flowers, a pink-and-white striped shirt with ruffle sleeves, peach pants, and black floral sneakers. She holds Stella’s leash in one hand as she walks along a path in the Australia Zoo. As she leads the way, Stella follows slowly behind. At one point, the pug seems a little distracted by something beyond the fence, and Grace just turns her head, says something indecipherable and easily gets the dog to keep trotting after her. Calm and efficient, we love it!
Girl’s Best Friend
Naturally, everyone adored this video. “Best dog walker in town ❤️❤️,” one person commented.
“I mean come on it doesent (sic) get any cuter!????????” another said. Someone else wrote, “Oh, they are so sweet together! ????”
Grace seems to have the best relationship with Stella. In a June 2023 picture, Grace’s dad Chandler Powell holds her upside down as she smiles and looks in the eyes of Stella. Her uncle Robert Irwin is holding the pug upside down, right next to her in the precious picture. “Best friends … even upside down!” the picture posted on Stella’s Instagram was captioned.
In a video from last January, Grace played with her little pug Stella in a crocodile structure at the zoo. As the dog sits in the open jaws of a fake croc’s mouth, Grace just gazes at the creature. She eventually sticks her forehead right against the dog, in the sweetest show of love. “Always love for my tiny human, Grace ❤️ – Stella,” the video was captioned.
Animal Lover
But its not just Stella that Grace loves. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in Jan. 2022, Terri said about her granddaughter, “I think she’s got that determination that Steve had and that connection with wildlife. Because it is weird to see animals just gravitate to her. So she’ll go out in the morning in the stroller, and all the kangaroos just gather around her like they’re having a meeting.”
Our hearts can’t take the cuteness!
