David Balogun (Pennsylvania, USA) graduated from high school at the age of 9 thanks to participating in many distance classes of a free online public school, CNN reported.
Young David Balogun graduated from Reach Cyber Charter School – a free online public school in Pennsylvania (USA). “I want to be an astrophysicist, studying black holes and supernovas.”he said.
The boy’s parents have advanced degrees, but for them, raising a son with extraordinary intellectual abilities can be difficult.
“He’s a 9-year-old kid with a brain capable of understanding and absorbing a lot of concepts beyond his age, sometimes beyond my understanding.” David’s mother, Ronya Balogun, said.
Thanks to his genius, David also taught his teacher a few things during the few years he finished high school.
“David was an inspirational kid who definitely changed the way you think regarding teaching.” said teacher Cody Derr.
After David completed a semester at Bucks County Community College, David and his family said they were looking at colleges and universities across the country to try to find a suitable one.
David said his favorite thing is studying. Besides, he also enjoys playing sports and the piano. He is also trying to train for a black belt in martial arts.
