From Friday evening, October 6, the Grand-Bigard interchange between Halle and the E40 in the direction of Ghent will be closed on various occasions, announced Tuesday the Flemish agency in charge of traffic (Agentschap Wegen en Verkeer). The second bridge used by motorists to join the E40 will be subject to maintenance work.
Concretely, a new layer of asphalt will be poured on the structure and the joints will be replaced.
The work, which will begin on Friday October 6 in the evening, should be completed on Sunday October 22 at 10:00 p.m. During this period, the work will take place day and night for three consecutive weekends, from Friday 10:00 p.m. to Monday 5:00 a.m. During the week, workers will only work at night, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., so as not to disrupt traffic.
A diversion will be put in place via the Asse road (N9).
